Who are you guys?
A group of experienced travellers who want to provide a one-stop-shop for hostel users the world over, in order to let you enjoy your travels without having to carry round a bag full of books! Check out About Us for a bit more info on us and our mission!
So how do I use this website?
It should be fairly easy to navigate, but basically, just type in either the city and country you want to stay in, or, alternatively, if you’ve stayed somewhere before and want to go there again, enter the hostel name. Then add the dates you want, hit search and away you go! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay within a destination, your search will bring up a selection of hostels with all the info and pics you need to find exactly what you’re looking for. From there, follow the booking instructions to pay for your booking, and hostelmania will then confirm your booking for you.
I can’t find the hostel I’m looking for
We have a few thousand hostels in our database at the moment. We contact hostels on a daily basis to get them listed, which is quick, easy and free! Please flick us an email to support@hostelmania.com with the hostel name and we will get it listed as soon as we can!
I need inspiration for my trip!
No problem! Each destination we have online has information with it so you can see if it’s what you’re looking for. If you find a destination that has no information, again, please send us a quick line at support@hostelmania.com so we can fix that. We also have a selection of travel guides online for the most popular places, and we are constantly adding more. These guides contain detailed advice on what to see, what to eat, where to go and what the weather’s likely to be like while you’re there! We also have up to date listings of events, festivals and celebrations all over the world.

Why should I list my hostel?
We are committed to promoting the various countries, cities and hostel names throughout the search engines, which is good exposure and will increase your bookings. And it’s a free service!
How do I get listed?
Clicking on the top tab REGISTER HOSTELS will allow you to enter the simple build process to register.
Once I have inputted my information, what then?
We will receive your details and a member of staff will authorise the listing. You will then receive a unique username and password allowing you to edit your hostel details at anytime.
How much control do I have over my listing?
You can add a short description, room types and prices, a longer description, directions, a map, facilities, special promotions, 4 pictures and of course all your contact details. You also have your own user ID and password so that you can access and edit your information on our website.
Will you ever charge for listings?
No!
Can I pay and be listed in a top position like sponsored links in the search engines?
No, it is a free impartial resource, but we work very hard to stay at the top of the search engine pages!
How many people do you get visiting your site?
3000 unique visitors a day and climbing!
